You can now control a network of 32 Modbus TCP Servers from a legacy Allen-Bradley serial PLC. It’s the perfect tool to save legacy PLCs from the scrap pile and control Modbus TCP devices directly from the serial port of PLC5s, SLCs and MicroLogix PLCs.
How Do I Use the 460MCDFM in My Application?
For most applications, the mapping is very straight forward. Modbus Register and Coil data is mapped to Files in the PLCs data tables.
For example, you can map N7:200 to Modbus Register 40200 in Modbus Server 10.

Gateway Security

Translation Table
Allows for data manipulation during protocol translation. Scaling and other data format changes can occur in the gateway.
Status and Counters
Protocol specific status, counters and error messages are accessible within the gateways diagnostics page. They can also be delivered to a connected device.
Diagnostic Logging Page
Allows users to see and log start up sequences, protocol specific messages & error messages.
