Easily Handle Ethernet TCP/IP Socket Data In Your BACnet/IP Network
The 460BSTCP moves data between up to 10 Ethernet TCP/IP devices and a BACnet/IP Building Automation System (BAS). It’s a perfect tool to tie Ethernet TCP/IP weigh scales, drives, barcode readers, sensors and other devices into your BACnet/IP Building Automation System. It’s also a effective tool to tie your BAS to ASCII based PC controllers and loggers.
Best of all the product is Made in the USA, is always in stock and comes with 5 year warranty.
How Do I Use the 460BSTCP in My Application?
For most applications the mapping is very straight forward. ASCII data in TCP/IP packets are parsed into up to 50 segments. You give each segment and data type and then map it to BACnet/IP as analog and binary values. BACnet/IP objects can be concatenated into a string and then deliver to a TCP/IP device. The gateway can add or remove delimeters to limit the work you need to do in your controller.
It’s really that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions.
Why use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460BSTCP provides an option to access Ethernet TCP/IP devices on your BACnet/IP Client. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.
